"Where The Heart Is" was started in 2001 by four heart bypass patients
(John Hall, Tony Smith, Pearl Stokes and Bill Summers) to:

Offer contact and support to those with health
problems, their relatives and to those who have lost family or close
friends to heart disease.

Maintain contact with professional people.

Provide information on local exercise, walks, leisure facilities and
local rehabilitation programmes.
Four of the group and one Carer are on the Avon,
Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Cardiac Patient & Public involvement
Group. Pearl is the patient representative on Gloucestershire
Coronary Heart Disease Local Implementation Team.

We run a variety of enjoyable and relaxing
activities!

Whatever age you are most welcome as are all our
supporters!

We are affiliated to the British Heart
Foundation.

The aim of the group is to set up local support
groups around Gloucestershire. Would you like to help start a local
